The proposal prompt is: “What is your hope, dream, and aspiration?” When you apply, be sure to tell us how $100-$1,000 could help you reach your goal. Be specific in the plan!

How Do I Apply?
Meet Eligibility Criteria. Before applying, please ensure you meet eligibility criteria.
(a) You must have been certified disabled. Certification for disability criteria includes being a recipient for Social Security Income/ Social Security Disability Income and/ or approved for SMRT.
(b) You must be a Minnesota resident.
(c) A qualified professional (such as case manager, social worker, therapist, or physician, etc.) will have to complete and attached document to verify eligibility criteria (a) and (b).Respond to the Proposal Prompt: “What is your hopes, dreams, and aspirations?” If awarded the microgrant, how could it help you reach your goals? Be specific about the requested grant amount to support your goals.

Timeline
How long does it take to hear about the application process? The application review and grant award process may take 45-60 days, so this program is not intended for emergency situations.
The “I aspire to…” microgrant will be opened from April 15, 2024 - May 31, 2024.
All responses must be answered by the recipient applying for the grant. We limit 1 response per individual. Case managers and support staff may assist with submitting responses if needed.
Please note: Microgrant money may not be used for monthly rent or bills. The grant money may not be distributed directly to the person, but the third-party organization of which the person would benefit from in order to fulfill the addressed proposal prompt. Microgrant staff makes all purchases and cannot reimburse for items already purchased.
